DEATH AND BIRTH REGISTRATION

Why is Regrestration>> As per section 8, 9 and 21 of Registration of Births & Deaths Act 1969.It is mandatory that every birth and death taking place anywhere in India must be registered with the Registrars appointed by the respective State Governments under the ambit of this law for the purpose.

Where to Register>>For all the births and deaths taking place within the Cantonment, the registration shall be done by the Chief Executive Officer, who is ex-officio registrar for the purpose of the Registration Act 1969.

Note: Only Domiciliary (Home / House) Birth/Death can be reported through this portal within 21 days of the occurrence of the event and to the registration unit where portal is being used for Registration of Birth & Death.
