RANI JHANSI FORT
The fort of Maharani Jhansi has strategic importance since the earliest of times. It was built by Raja Bir Singh Ju Deo (1606-27) of Orchha on a rocky hill called Bangra in the town of Balwantnagar (presently know as Jhansi). The fort has ten Gates. some of these are Khanderao Gate, Datia gate, Unnao Gate, Jharna Gate, Laxmi Gate, Sagar Gate, Orchha Gate, Saiyar Gate, Chand Gate. Among place of interest within the main fort area are the karak Bijli toup , Rani Jhansi Garden, Shiv temple and Mazar of Gulam Gaus Khan, Moti Bai and Khuda Bax, The Jhansi fort a living testimony of ancient glamor and valour also has fine collection of sculptures which provide an excellent inside into the eventful history of Bundelkhand.
Orchha is a town in Tikamgarh district of Madhya Pradesh state, India. The town was established by Maharaja Rudar Pratap Singh in 1501, as the seat of an eponymous former princely stste of Central India, in the Bundelkhand region. Orchha lies on the Betwa River, 80 Km. from Tikamgarh & 15 Km. Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh.
Peetambra Peeth is the famous Shakti Peeth of the country. Sh. Golokwasi Swamiji Maharaj established "Bagla Mukhi Devi " and " Dhumawati Mai " at this place. Vankhandeshwar Temple at Peetambra Peeth is one of the Mahabharat-Kaleen temple of Lord Shiva.In the same campus a lot of temples are established.
