I Ate Oatmeal Daily for a Week.

Oatmeal is high in fibre, lowers blood glucose and cholesterol, and lowers the risk of heart disease and diabetes.

Oatmeal also improves gut bacteria and intestinal health. I ate oatmeal for breakfast every day for a week to test if it had any health benefits.

The day following Thanksgiving was excellent for my oatmeal experiment. 

After a week of consuming fatty foods—not necessarily good fats—I was ready to move away from cheese boards and toward simpler, warmer, and cleansing foods.

 I have that routine down, and since I knew I'd be eating oatmeal every morning, I wanted to make it easy and successful.

 My new regimen began with baked oatmeal with eggs, orange juice, berries, and fall spices.
