Jerry Jones discusses 1957 Arkansas desegregation

A 1957 photo showed Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and several white kids blocking Black students from entering North Little Rock High School

The rediscovered Associated Press photo shows 14-year-old Jones wearing a striped shirt on the school stairs.

Jones addressed his attendance after the Cowboys' Thanksgiving win against the New York Giants.

"I didn't know at the time the significant thing that was going on, and I'm definitely glad that we're a long way from that," Jones, 80, recalled of the sophomore incident.

"I am. That would remind me to keep working to prevent such things."

In the same month, then-President Dwight D. Eisenhower dispatched federal troops to Little Rock Central to let nine Black pupils to enrol.
