Man arrested after emaciated dog, puppies found in back of car

Police in Queens, New York, detained a guy after discovering a malnourished dog and six puppies in the back of his vehicle.

According to authorities, after discovering 106 canines living in subpar conditions on his farm, investigators in Georgia detained a man on charges of animal cruelty and dog fighting.

According to a press release published on Facebook by the Paulding County Sheriff's Office, Vincent Lemark Burrell, 55, was peacefully detained on Tuesday at his house in Paulding County.

Dogs were discovered tied to trees and other items in the yard, according to Paulding investigators, after a thorough investigation. Additionally, dogs were discovered in the house's basement.

According to the announcement, police had to put on protective gear in order to enter the property safely because the smell of urine and the presence of faeces were so overpowering.

According to the press release, "Conditions where canines were being housed, both inside and on the exterior of this property, were not fit for people, much less dogs."
