200°C oven. Prepare a greased 9x13 baking dish.
Sliced leeks in 2 tablespoons olive oil
Cook for 4 minutes over medium heat. Cook garlic for another minute.
Mix cooked leeks with thinly cut brussels sprouts in another bowl.
Add milk, Gruyere, 1/4 cup parmesan, salt, pepper, thyme, and nutmeg to the skillet.
Stir and boil this. The next phase is when the cheese melts and the sauce thickens.
Pour over the brussels sprouts and leeks. Mix thoroughly.
Place the mixture in the baking tray and bake.
Pour panko, parmesan, and oil over the baking dish for crunch.
