Thanksgiving miracle rescues cruise guest who fell overboard.
On Thursday evening, the USCG recovered a cruise ship passenger who fell overboard in the Gulf of Mexico, a "Thanksgiving miracle."
The coast guard found a 28-year-old man 20 miles south of Southwest Pass, Louisiana, at 8.25pm on Thursday
After he fell overboard the New Orleans-to-Mexico Carnival Valor cruise ship on Wednesday night.
Carnival officials told CNN that the man was reported missing on Thanksgiving Day after leaving his sister at an onboard bar at 11pm to use the bathroom.
His sister informed personnel the next day that he never returned. CNN reports that the man ignored repeated shipwide announcements to check in with guest service.
The cruise liner notified the coast guard about the missing passenger at 2.30pm on Thursday.
