Wanted: NYC rat catcher with a taste for blood.

Mayor Eric Adams' administration is looking for a "director of rodent mitigation" or "rat czar" to tackle New York's "true enemy."

"The perfect candidate is highly motivated and perhaps bloodthirsty," the hilarious job advertisement released this week states.

The chosen candidate may receive up to $170,000 (£139,000).

It's "a 24/7 job requiring stamina and stagecraft" for city inhabitants with "swashbuckling attitude, clever humour and general aura of badassery".

Rat mitigation methods, project and policy management among city agencies, and hands-on elimination are responsibilities.
